A makeshift bomb detonated outside a residential building in Monaco on Monday evening, seriously injuring three people. According to security camera footage, a man dropped a backpack in the building's lobby before the explosion occurred. Two of the injured were reported to be in critical condition.

Monaco's head of government characterised the blast as "very likely an attack." Local authorities said the suspected attacker fled to France following the incident, prompting a police search. One of those injured was reported to be a Ukrainian oligarch, according to reports from the region.
